“Heart”

ABOUT THE PIECE:
This piece represents a section from squamous cells, which line different parts of our body. The cells are neatly organized forming little clusters like flowers in a garden. The top of the image shows a pink layer of keratin covering the cells forming what looks like a horizon symbolizing the future and our hopes we have for it. Whys is it called “Heart”? I will leave this for you to discover.
